Together with Microsoft – the Redmond giant co-finances MakoLab’s new project

At the beginning of 2015, MakoLab S.A. signed a contract with Microsoft Corporation, with headquarters in Redmond, USA, whose subject is cooperation in development and marketing of MakoLab’s original application used for generation of leads, i.e. contacts with entities potentially interested in specific offers. The application’s functioning can be described briefly as follows.

The user of the application describes a product or service whose sale he/she is interested in, and provides the application with a database of subjects, e.g. from a given business area. Afterwards, they are analyzed by the application and, as a result, the user obtains information about the degree of interest in a given product or service on the part of each subject. This allows for presenting an offer customized for a selected group, basing on the obtained information and conducted analysis. Considering the amount of information that is present on the Internet today, one may assume that this kind of software will dramatically increase efficiency of sale.
The application uses NLP (Natural Language Processing) algorithms supported by semantic descriptions of searched phrases. At the moment, the first version of the application dedicated to the financial sector is in its final stages of development, and will be presented to first potential clients already during the 1st quarter of the year. It will allow for evaluating interest of companies in banking services, e.g. factoring. According to the signed agreement, the software will be available in “the cloud”, on Microsoft’s Azure platform.
We are especially satisfied with Microsoft’s decision to participate in this project and that it has acknowledged our competences and results of systematically conducted R&D operations in the area of semantic technologies. For several years now, have promoted solutions based on them in the automotive and financial sectors. Our partner’s position of the worldwide leader on the market of IT services and products makes it one of MakoLab’s most promising projects in recent years and certainly marks a great beginning of the year 2015 – said Wojciech Zieliński, Director of the Board of MakoLab S.A.
The financial and organizational involvement in the cooperation of both parties has solid foundations. The developed solution provides an answer to actual needs of Microsoft’s clients, particularly from the financial sector. Moreover, the Redmond-based IT giant is interested in promoting Microsoft Azure platform by supplying it with applications that are attractive for the market. For MakoLab, participation of Microsoft in development and promotion of the application serves as a confirmation of the increasing significance of semantic technologies, in which the Company specializes. In addition, it gains access to a database of clients with which Microsoft cooperates, together with crucial marketing support of global reach.
