MakoLab prepares for new business challenges. The strategy of convergence and a new website

On Wednesday MakoLab celebrated the new opening in the history of the company - the presentation of its new mission and strategy joined with the premiere of the new MakoLab website. www.makolab.pl is a site created in Responsive Web Design and based on Sitecore Customer Engagement Platform. 

The new MakoLab claim is Digital Agility. It refers to the Agile method of project management as well as emphasizes the agility of the company in working within the world of modern technologies. 
The MakoLab strategy is mostly built on convergence. Convergence, being the cutting edge philosophy of development for interactive agencies, was presented by Bob Lord and Ray Velez of New York agency Razorfish in their book entitled “Converge: Transforming Business at the Intersection of Marketing and Technology”. In the authors’ opinion, currently the biggest challenge – as well as necessity – is converging such sections as creativity and technology, proven solutions and innovation, business systems and web applications dedicated to serve websites and e-commerce. 
In order to succeed on the modern media market, it is necessary to switch from one-area focus to the approach of supplying the clients with complex solutions, which are visually attractive, user-friendly and rich in interesting content. At the same time, they need to be able to gather and process multiple data and deliver vast array of e-marketing functionalities.
The philosophy of convergence influences also the company organization, which – in MakoLab – states for switching from working in specialized departments to team project creation, involving the work of people with various, yet mostly complementary, competencies.
